Shamelessly stolen fro an [livejournal.com profile] alezig

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's Parker ...she likes money and cereal." I'd love it if everyone who's friended me did this. (Yes, even you people who I know really well.) Then post this in your own journal [only if you feel inclined]. In return, ask me anything you'd like to know about me and I'll give you an answer*.

*Providing it's answerable/suitable for public posting.

So this is a view of of my back garden right now. What you can't see is the hanging basket of bird treats we have gone out and bought to feed the birds nor the can of dog food we put out for an injured fox we saw this morning... Now I have no idea what you are supposed to feed a fox but thought dog food was good enough! LOLIMG_0346

Awwww - I've Just had a lovely compliment from a current student to say that ME, little old ME was the whole reason why he decided to come to the school! Awww how sweet of him.
He said that when I welcomed him into the school at his audiition, my welcome was the defining point when he knew he wanted to come here! Awww that has really cheered me up!
Now I work in an acting school so that person had been to quite a few auditions prior to ours and I feel very humble that little old me was the deal breaker! Awwww

On another note - I went shopping for some last minute gifts to my local mall called Mall Cribbs and as I wandered around I noticed that I had NEVER seen so many disgruntled stressed out MEN in my life! LOL All of them being dragged around the Mall by their partners quickly losing their will to live! LOL

Love

So firstly my eye thing is gone! YAY! I did have to help it on its way with a pair of tweezers but it is gone and I looked at my face and thought 'my god, I actually feel better!'
Now I have my eye thing for pretty much 30 years and it has only been the last couple of months that I have wanted to get rid of it. Anyway even with being poked with a red hot needle I have to admit I would do it again just to get rid of the skin tag. LOL
Been out to take my mum food shopping (Morissons is quite good right now!) and now back to clean the upstairs of my house. Can't bear to do both the up and down stairs in one day as it is to untidy! LOL. Off out tonight to a party for a 25th wedding anniversary to a pair who are so diametrically opposed as you can imagine. They fight like cat and dog all the time and think it is normal!
Anyway I have a busy day today.
ALSO - I won a bid on the FandomAid for Superstorm Sandy! I was so convinced that I wouldn't win because the author is (I think,) well known and writes fabulous stories. So because I was convinced I would be outbid I never thought of an idea of what prompt to give them! Now I have literally just come up with something and sent it to them and hope they like my idea.
Anyway I have to go and clean up so will be back tomorrow
Love

So the fic  I am doing for the SPN_Reversebang is :

2019 Crash

Rating of Art: PG

Highest Rating Fic Can Be: NC-17 (any rating is fine)

Pairing or Gen: Jeff/Jensen

Characters: Jensen Ackles, Jeffrey Dean Morgan - any other RPF characters can be included

Warnings: Reference to a car accident.

Short description of art: Jensen and Jeff in a photo as a couple, divided by a tire track from a picture of Jeff unconscious and Jensen looking down and then a picture of Jeff awake in a hospital bed and Jensen standing next to him looking uncomfortable. The background is the spiderweb of a shattered car window. Hurt/comfort, angst, established relationship.

I've started it already and have already written 926 words! Woo Hoo! I've emailed the artists and got their ideas for the story and have a pretty good idea of where it will go.
Now all I need to do is write a further 2000+ words to bring the fic over 3000 words (something I don't really see any problem with)

I didn't realise that the fic HAS to be beta'd so will have to contact the beta sign ups for someone to help with that.
All in all - I'm looking forward to this one. It should be fun.

Woo Hoo. I have claimed some fic for  [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang and can see already that my first choice is gone :( SPN_Reversebang prompts you to choose five options and already I am down one! LOL

Never mind - I will let you know what I am doing after they let me know

Thanks

Hiya
I've just spent the last couple of minutes writing an email to a friend and have now decided to post pretty much what I wrote to her.
I'm stuck in the middle of my story, well the start to be honest! I have written the first chapter and it was in first person (my preferred way of writing) and it just didn't flow right so I have redone it in second person and it works better but needs 'fleshing out', but now I have no idea how big the story is going to be and what I want to do with it! I want more angst and it is supposed to be a Hurt Dean story so I need more hurt in it! Yikes! so yeah a bit stuck....
On a personal front I am going out tonight to see a play which has an actor who trained at my school, the director and designed both trained at my school (and teach here) and is using a venue which is very good - http://tobaccofactorytheatre.com/shows/detail/the_deep/
I'm going with a mate and will end up having a few drinks and a meal!
So probably a good night.
I wish you all a good day/night
Bye

Have had a busy 1st day of my holiday... Went to the cinema with mum, to see The Expendables 2 and yes, it is exactly how you think it is going to be! However it did make me LOL! then went to Coal for lunch which was lovely, then shopping at Morrisons which was fine - now home! joy!
AND onto my new story, double joy!

Home! Joy!

So after 4 days of the Terry Pratchett Discworld Convention I am home! JOY!
The convention was really strange, it is run by amateurs and the logistics are pretty huge but they made it work (mostly).
There was a load of people wandering around in strange outfits. Way overpriced items for sale and so truly hideous 'acting' by the worst amateurs you have ever seen.
I was really bored most of the time - but Rich enjoyed it (he does love the Discworld novels more than me!)
Saying that even he said he probably wouldn't go to another convention. The convention went like this;
Friday
Turn up, register (really quickly), go to newbies talk. Spend the evening watching an obviously ill Terry P wander around the stage looking very frail - this was a bit upsetting. Drink, then bed.
Saturday
Turn up for sect meeting to find only 2 people had turned up (there were 950 people at the convention) wander around ALOT, eat shitty food, drink, watch the worst type of amateur dramatics you have ever seen with THE WORST SOUND system ever.
Sunday (ME not Rich)
Get up, wander over to Birmingham Airport for something to do. drink, eat, spend lots of time reading my kindle. Turn up in the evening for FREE drink (best part of the weekend.)
Monday
Get up, check out and wait for Rich to be ready to go home.
BORED!
Now I am home I have a great idea for a story (not con related!) and will start writing it tonight/tomorrow.

So I've managed to register into the Discworld Convention in less than 5 minutes! which is a lot better than Rogue Events 2hr waiting time....
Have checked into the hotel.
We've seen Terry Pratchett (the author of the Disworld novels)
Have sorted the internet.
Everything is going well

I have just had a payrise! Woo Hoo!!!
AND I am off on holiday for two weeks and going to a Terry Pratchett Discworld convention tomorrow so more Woo Hoo's!!!!!
marchia43: (Default)
So my writing challenge has finished and suddenly I realise how much time I actually spent nocking out 13 short stories, ficlets and drabbles totalling 18729 words! In six weeks!
I always hoped I could write a BigBang fic and I now think I can do one, so next time author sign ups happen i'm there baby! LOL
So today I am at work (alone) so much time will be spent reading porn... Ahem I mean reading fanfiction! LOL
Anyway the point on this post was to say that last night after I got home from watching The Bourne Legacy I sat down and suddenly realised I didn't have to write anything! JOY!

Busy Weeks!

Blimey what a busy couple of weeks I've had. The boss has finally gone on holiday (thank god) and so it's pretty much me in the whole school on my own (which is lovely!)
On top of that it was my birthday on the 3rd so that was spent running about like a looney and then yesterday I went to a wedding. Now I don't go to a lot of weddings and this one was at 12 Noon, and I was invited to the reception. Now stupid me, I say to Rich "I'll be back by 3pmish!) - I finally got back to Bristol (the wedding was in Cardiff) at 8.30pm! Since I'd left at 10am to pick up a mate, that  was a long time.
When I got back and dropped my mate of at her house I rang Rich to say I was on my way home and he says to me "You're brother has just left here." so I say "Why's Clinton come over?" to which Rich replied "Not that brother!"
Now you may be a bit surprised to hear that my Dad had 13 children with various women. I am one of 3 (both older) brother and sister. Before them my Dad had 4 children, of those I only ever really met, saw and got on with one of them, Derham. Now Derham has been in the Army most of his life and lived in Hong Kong and the Philippines for the last 22 years. So I haven't seen him for 22 years and suddenly he turns up!
So off I trudge over to my Mum's to catch up with him. It was great to meet him again after so long - but also a bit weird.
So now it's nose to the grindstone today, back to the gym in a minute and to finish of a story I have to post for [livejournal.com profile] spn_spankings later tonight! Eeeeek just a bit busy
ALSO - on top of this Rich has just left to go to Sidmouth Folk Festival for the next week so peace and quiet will reign here! LOL

marchia43: (Default)
So I came home at 17:15 today and it is now 20:52 and I have not only written two short fics, Which I have just now sent off to be BETA'd
I'm also half way through a third! Blimey what a night. I haven't even had dinner yet. so I am going to put the sequel to Noisy Neighbours on hold for the rest of the evening........
